Odd Encounter

Dear reader,
My odd encounter of the day included singing happy birthday via phone to my 4th period (science) sub's husband.
   We're almost done with class, right, and all the sudden she whips her phone out of her pocket, walks to the center of the room and tells us all to gather 'round. we go up and she tells us we're singing happy birthday to someone when he either picks up or when it goes to voice mail. she won't tell us who though! she tells us on the last ring that it's her husband and it goes to voice-mail, as we prepare to sing, he calls her back and we have to restart.
   We finish, (after completly screwing up the song, since after all; we didn't know the guy's name!) and she dimisses us. i really do like that she thought to do something like that for her husband, but did 30 strange, unknown kids need to be a part of it? i think not. =)
   Off to my next adventure, the foriegn land of Microsoft Office to write!
