One of the sole reasons I created this blog is for book reviews...but I believe I may be addicted. =) Enjoy my book review for: Divergent by Veronica Roth!

"Divergent by Veronica Roth is a class A thriller/dystopian. The cover caption "ONE CHOICE CAN TRANSFORM YOU" is extremely accurate, as the reader watchs our dear main charactar Tris make her choice and transform herself to the ways of her chosen faction. We watch her struggle with her new nature and her need to fit in or be eliminated. I, personally, thought Tris was a little too I-shall-throw-myself-in-the-line-of-fire-to-save-you for me, but she was fierce and strong-willed and that kind of a charactar is admirable. The book sucked you in with a curious and confused romance between a trainee and her teacher; Four. Throughout the book we see a fearless and vunerable side of nearly every charactar Mrs. Roth creates and brings into the story-line. This book also explores the five things most civilians today grapple with; knowledge (Erudite), selflessness (Abnegation), fearlessness or elimination of corwardice (Dauntless), truthfulness (Candor), and peacefullness and harmony (Amity). These are also the things that could bring the new civilization to its knees, creating conflict and destroying what the factions work for. Mrs. Roth has a unique way of looking at the future, a view I find interesting and completely accurate, from a reader's view; Mrs. Roth seems a born dystopian writer. The exucution was spot on and crisp, the scenes were all meaningful and clear to the point with the perfect winding roads of thrills!
This was a inspriring and engaging novel, one you'll be sure to keep on the shelf for easy access for years to come!"
I hope you enjoyed this review! **** 4 stars
